What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into modern phones. Instead of a physical card, you install a data plan by scanning a QR code — no SIM swap, no store visit.
Is my phone compatible? (Device compatibility)
You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone. Most recent models qualify: iPhone XS/XR and newer; Google Pixel 3 and newer; Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, recent Z Fold/Flip; and many other 2019+ flagships. If unsure, dial *#06# — if you see an EID number, your device supports eSIM. iPhones from mainland China and some carrier-locked devices are not supported.
How do I install it?
After purchase we show a QR code instantly and email it to you. On the device you'll use abroad: scan the QR (or use the manual SM-DP+ / activation details), then enable the eSIM. Tip: install before you travel; turn on data roaming for the eSIM line on arrival.
When does my plan start?
Most plans start when the eSIM connects to a network in your destination (first use). Validity is counted in days from activation. Each plan's data and validity are shown before you buy.
Can I keep my regular number?
Yes. Your GoVoyage eSIM is for data. Keep your primary SIM/line for calls and texts (with roaming off to avoid charges) and use the eSIM for internet.
What if I run low on data?
You can top up the same eSIM — no reinstall needed. Open your eSIM and choose 'Add data' to see the top-up options available for that plan.
Do you offer refunds?
Unused, not-yet-installed eSIMs are refundable within 30 days; once installed or used, plans are generally non-refundable. See our Refund Policy.
